I kept the Gotti's, Sold them with my 74 Carrera, bought them back & sold them again - the 10"s wouldn't fit anything I had. I have 2 sets of 9"s with Tires - BBS & Fuchs
On the Beck - the tire was petrified, no valve stem and the sidewalls were like a rock After Refinishing |

She stayed in the (somewhat) Air-Conditioned Garage today
Got everything disconnected for the 4-cylinder engine drop ( probably Sunday or Monday as I'm off to Sebring tomorrow) Also went to the Engine Builders to drop off Air Shroud, Ignition, & Oil-bypass pieces. The New Swiss Valves arrived while I was there. Should be done by the end of the weekend |

Crazy putting a $40K engine in a $5K car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) - I'll let you know, but this was no ordinary $5K car

Well, when I started to make a Leather Dash for the GT, I had an extra cracked dash laying around so I made two.
This car has a dash-cap that I hope is not to much of a bitch to get off - I'm sure somebody can use it. |

Fitted an Outside mirror on the Driver's Side. It was Bondo'd over & Painted. I had to chisel out the filler, punch from Top & Bottom.
RamMat'd the D/S Door, Put Vapor Barrier & mounted Door Panel (4 Friggin Times til I got it the way I wanted it). The RamMat does add weight, but the "real carr" door thud is cool |

The CannonDale is my Engine Guys Trail-Rider - Pretty Cool bike
This is the perfect example of the car Newbies should Buy. Solid as a Rock. Most New Guys think if they buy a $500 car they can fix it. Then it sits on JackStands til they give it away. This was an under $5K car delivered, I've sold off a lot of what I didn't want. Now it is good platform for what I want to do |

That is going to be a great car when you get finished!
Your right about the newbies.although I think they need to stick with the 4 banger. Pretty intense doing the conversion for a fist timer. I will not have my car together for Petit Le Mans this year. Hopefully next year. Will enjoy watching your progress! Jimmy |

Jimmy, that was my intention for the newbies - buy a car like this and drive the snot out of it vs buying a $1500-2000 car that "needs a little fixing up" that turns into a $8000 car overnight
I bought it for the value - the value it has for me as a super solid that I can turn into a track car quickly And the value of the parts I knew I could sell (motor, carbs, both gone, Center Console, suspension & brakes, wheels, etc) |

Today, I buttoned the dash back together and put the Interior TargaBar trim in. Someone had installed the rear Targa latches on the wrong sides - it took me a few minutes to figure out why things were not fitting
