Hi,
Are you sure it's engine #4425 for VIN #0507? If so, that is the largest deviation below #0600 I've seen.
thanks,
dug

Yes, according to my COA the correct engine for my VIN #507 914-6 is 6404425. Any help in locating this engine is greatly appreciated !

I know you said you used only COA numbers on your graph..
I have car # 619 and this book came with it when I bought
it in 1973 from the Original Dealership when it was traded back to them..

I trust it to be real.. So I won't waste the money on a COA.

You can add it if you like..

Hi Gandalf,
I add them to my list even if there isn't a COA, but I keep the graph based on COAs. Your's lands right on the curve though.
Thanks for the data point!
cheers,
dug

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for the numbers...

6400748 is probably between chassis 1900 and 2100.
The factory won't release information about a chassis except to the owner, so it will be difficult. Your best bet is to post it here, which you just did:)

cheers,
dug

Hi,

to add you to your list I own the following engines #6400748 and #6420153.
Is it possible to find out the matching VINs and what would they be?

Cheers,

Andreas

Hi,
I just noticed in this ebay ad, that this car has another 914-6 engine #6404421 installed, even though it comes with the correct block as well.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Porsche-914-9...a-/111790770300

Also listed on the dealer's site here:
http://www.ronsusser.com/inventory/listing...f-authenticity/

cheers,
dug

They are a dealer, so if this is someone's engine, should be able to make a deal.
