My parts car came with a motorola sapphire with plastic face plate. It had been removed from the car and wires cut (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif). I'd like to bench test it to see if it works. According to the diagram in this thread there should be a ground wire coming out of it. Maybe they just left it off and assumed the bracket to the firewall grounded it... I guess I can just add a connection under one of the screws on the unit. I assume the red wire is for power. There are two brown wires coming out of it, which must be for the speakers. According to the diagram the speaker wires went to a connector. Would there be only two wires coming out of the unit and then splitting into 4 (2 going to each speaker as shown in the diagram) at the connector? Here are some pics:
