I've been busy the last couple weeks helping out with the new Rav 4 model launch at the other plant, plus my wife just went back to work after being on maternity leave so I've completely forgotten to post this up...
The last couple Sundays I finished working on the dash. My original one was rotted on one side but thankfully Peteyd came through yet again and had another one that was in MUCH better shape.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Got the new vinyl put on the top and new face material.. The glove box door doesnt line up quite how I think is quite right, but since the door and the dash are not form the same car it's probibly just a location discrepancy.. I'll tinker with that later. Also put on the dash cap I've had tucked up in the barn for a while. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Got the sail panels put on today.. bit of fiddling with the trim pieces but doesn't look too bad.. I was thinking of going to black trim, but after looking at it a few times and asking the wife I'm going to stick with chrome.
Also have all the seals in the doors now. Adjusting the windows on the right side is being a PITA, but its good for now. I'll tinker with it some more later. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Its been a busy couple of Sundays in the garage so its about time I do an update here..
Put the windows back into the doors and put in the main windshield / a-pillar seal in the car.. It doesnt fit very well and I'm not exactly sure how to proceed with it... I have to line up the windows better still but it just doesn't look right.. Like maybe the centre piece is too long or something. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it ???? Something to tinker on later. Attached thumbnail(s) |
