Got my engine internals back from balancing ( Thanks Mark Henry !! )

I have a 80mm nitrided crank and rods from Mark Henry ( I believe they are originally from Jake )

Bolted the flywheel on to use as a base while building up the crank shaft.
cleaned the crank and all oil galleys.. and then cleaned up the rods/bearings and put them on... all oiled up and torqued to 24 ft-lbs.

Hard to see how much clearancing was done on the case webs......be sure to check it with both halves snugged up .....slide a long feeler gauge into each as you rotate and hold the rods vertical....btdt.

No pics of this, but I did a LOT more clearancing work the past couple weeks.. the 80mm crank needs a lot of room in there. :-) ...
Couple noobie mistakes made... cranked in a galley plug too much trying to get it in far enough and buggered up the threads... I was able to re-tap it a bit further and got a plug in there nice n snug...
Lots of help from Mark Henry on WTF to do here n there, plus another trip up to his shop to do more clearancing on the rods.. I'm sure he just wants me to get this danm motor done and stop asking questions..... He has been a huge help. !
I'm done clearancing now and its time for final cleaning and start assembling the short block. :-) Will post pics later

Wow... finally feels like a productive day...

One more time into the case after a thorough pressure wash, air blast, brake cleaner, air blast, etc.

Tadddaaahhhh! Shortblock. I have some new hardware in the mail, so I just put the old stuff on there (grease, dirt n all ) so I could clamp down the case before the sealant set-up..
Now after a few garage days of frustration, finally looks like its getting somewhere...
Time for a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

been tinkering away since I've been waiting for my cylinder shims to come in.. Got the headlight buckets all hooked up and the motors wired in. also got the ventilation diverters and controls put in. They're mostly there so whenever I get the heater box for my tangerine exhaust I'l have the rest of the components hooked up. Also got the wiper motor installed. Didnt take pics of the headlights or the wiper motor...
