Got the Stainless Fuel lines and pump from Tangerine racing put in and cleaned up/painted the gas tank. its all in now. I ran a power line from the engine bay all the way up to the new front mounted pump. I'll hook it up to the original pump power line and do the relay jumper that Sir Andy wrote about. This way the fuel pump "should" act as normal.

Oh ... and the back pad it just sitting there for now. I have to take it back out so that I can put the carpets down and finish the gauge wiring.. I am waiting for a couple parts to come up from the US and a couple parts I got to pick up from Peteyd and then I hope I'll be able to stuff the motor into the car next weekend..

I hope your engine runs as good as it looks! Will you get it dyno'd after you get it running?

Very clean install on the front pump.

Well done Mr. Hyde! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I have 2 Gremlins so far that have poped up.

1 license plate lights and trunk light have no power going to them.

2 Dome light only works on the "door" setting when the key is on.

Are you getting help at all or is this all solo?

Looking good.

Are your fuses all good?

I had a friend help my stuff the engine in. Needed another pair of eyes and hands. But otherwise I've pretty well done the whole car myself. Sheet metal fab, welding , painting, engjne rebuild , suspension, breaks and wiring.

I got one of the Engman fuse panels a year or two ago. No fuses blowing so far and the headlight motors sync'd up and worked perfectly. My parts car I started with could never get the headlights to sync. With the lack of real metal I assume now it's because of poor grounding

IT RUNS !!!

I'll post more pics of everything getting hooked up this past weekend later...

Had a heck of a time getting it going..

I think I indexed my distributor drive gear 180 deg off because it just wasn't firing where it should be but once I turned it around half way it stumbled and fired up...

One of the floats was stuck open on the right carb.. filled up the bowl and overflowed before I got the fuel pump shut off. THAT was exciting. First couple fires from the 3/4 cylinder bank involved flames shooting out of either end before it settled down... took the carb top off and released the float and now all is good with that

What i still have to deal with:

fix whats up with the ignition. The wires look like a rats nest. got to sort that out and clean it up before I set the timing.

Carbs... one pair was pulling at 14 and the other pair at 25.. might have the linkage too tight.. going to loosen it off and restart the "start up tuning " for the carbs.

Oil pressure sender I think needs a better ground.. the gauge just pegs to the right. Idiot light is working though.

now.. I just gotta sort out how to put the video up
