Sir Andy, how is your 901 holding up? I watched your build thread and it gave me ideas for mine. I didn't know how the Rennshift linkage worked until I saw how you did it.

So far, so good. But i do have a spare 915, just in case. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

And I'd say stay with the US specs, they look "meaner" with your car color (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

The reasons why the 'dog's bollocks' are considered to be the top of the tree aren't clear.

Some things are not meant to be fully understood. I don't really get how "the cat's ass" translates into something being really cool either.

But regardless, your car is the dog's bollocks AND the cat's ass. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

I like both expressions and I will be using them hence forth. Thanks for the (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

Nice. That might be enough voting to help me decide. I agree.

FWIW, that shot above from the rear - I'd stick with the North American lenses. The red against the silver looks fantastic.

I know where the pict in 34 was taken... stick with the red lights, they look great against the silver car. Bummer about the oil tank- good thing you made it home after dropping me off and noticing the drips. Would have been a shame to toss that motor.

Dave, I had a Santa Monica chicken burrito in your honor. You'll have to get one next time!

I got awesome retractable seat belts from Auto Atlanta today! The oil tank should be in tomorrow... I'll be looking for some nice twisty roads for this weekend over the next two days (sorry Dave, Eric and others with cars snowed in or on jackstands). I'll drive the hell out of the zombie for y'all!

I haded a few finishing touches to the interior today. All that's left is to wire in the dome light and install the stereo.

Okay... Just a couple of pics from today. We took both cars out for a long winding drive through the hills. Lots of fun but the weekend's over and now it's back to the grind.(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i243.photobucket.com-8067-1299463047.1.jpg)

In case anyone was wondering how this car is going I've made a few updates. I've opened up the front to allow more air flow through the oil cooler which has dropped the oil temp significantly. The front right tire has been rubbing the fender so I had my body man bend the lip under which fixed the problem and didn't damage the paint. I also added a stereo that is the best sounding stereo I've ever had in a 914.

Thanks Marc... great emocons. It's the car I've wanted to build since I first knew of 914's and 964's circa 1990! It's the car that I'd doodle in high school French class. I'm sure my French teacher would hate it. I wish I could go back in time to tell her that my day dreaming paid off after all and that I never use French anyway.

Thanks and sorry... the weather's been perfect for 914 action. And now 914 action with tunes! I'm not sure who the pictures are for. Most of my Facebook friends could care less about cars and I think I'm just making a bunch of frienemies here since the rest of the country is still frozen. I don't know... I have 914 fever. I can't help it. I'm not well. I'm drunk on 914 driving and picture taking... it's like a drug... I can't stop (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

Thanks Jack, I'll be heading to downtown LA today with her. The seat belts are great. They're after market belts that I got from Auto Atlanta. I couldn't find them anywhere else. They took a while to come in but well worth the wait... I've never had retractable belts in a 914 that actually work. And they look like late 911/930/944 receivers which I like.

I decided to dig up some project photos. Here are some secrets to this build... I hope you enjoy them. This really was a fun car to do and I think I owe it to you to show you how I did it.
