What's everyone's take on the 70ish white lettered tires? Period correct? The last time I had white lettered tires was on my '72 Chevelle SS... What about black wall tires??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

Could you do this color, flat black wheel centers, flat black bumpers and sail trim ? Wow, that is an awesome color. I'll give it a try. Side stripe or no side stripe? Eh (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I guess no stripe. Easier on you and gives me what I need to see. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Thnaks for an awesome thread (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Right, the side walls. I actually think they look pretty good.
Utah, I'd love to see that Creamsicle with the orange roof exactly the way it is but without the side stripes. Just all white except for the bumpers, front and rear valance, rockers and roof in orange. Also, it looks liek that orange is starting to darken a little compared to the original Creamsicle. That's okay though, I think it gives the car an updated, not-so-70's (nothing wrong with the 70's BTW) look. Gotta give you a thumbs up like the other fellas here, you're rockin' it out by putting together these packages for everyone. Thanks, I have a lot of fun doing it. I love to see how it looks with all the different combos. I'm working on the blue one and the brown one next, but they are a little more challenging because they are darker colors. I'll put the de-striped creamsicle in the queue. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
And thanks to kfish for the cool thread idea. I hope he doesn't mind the "topic migration". |

I think a bare-nuts Red Baron would rock. Admiring the previous post, but.....
Dark dark matte gray and minus all the flair... No porsche script/stripe, no horizontal stripe across the back, no porsche badge on the front fender side, no white banner across the top of the windshield..... All business baby. |

I think this thread may be never-ending. I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that the 914 is one bad looking ride! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE And thanks to kfish for the cool thread idea. I hope he doesn't mind the "topic migration". Not at all, I love seeing all the ideas. I just wish I could have talked the McDonalds owner into building the McCicle for car shows this summer. It would be nice to see more teeners out and about at these shows. Carry on gentlemen...carry on. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) I don't like the white lettering on the tyres myself - It's like a £3000 evening dress being filled curvaceously by the most beautiful girl in your dreams and then she goes and spoils it all with a set of 7 inch gold hoop earrings - you just know before she opens her mouth it will be a disappointment..... Sorry I'm English, but I'm sure you guys get what I'm getting at.. If the PS wizard wants to do my dream 914, it's as follows Dark metallic grey Chrome wheels with red ground and polished petals The wide Porsche script in red Black sills and valances Chrome bumpers No sail panel vinyl Black roof Full Alcantara interior with my 10K Mcintosh sound system (I know you can't shop that in, but I can visualise (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) Oh, and no gold hoop earrings... I think it entirely depends on what use you put the earrings to...

Yes, perfect (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)! The struggle with painted sails and A-pillars is over ...... because your blackened versions look so dang cool (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif) !!! Okay, here are a few to look at. I haven't gotten the original black stripe off yet, but I'll get to it eventually. These will give you a good idea how Yachting Blue will look. |
