I thought I would share before the World is down. My Next Kit (more like several...) will be targeting the doors and essentially providing all new hardware to complement the reproduction pieces made Mikey914 and morph (914AP.com). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Question to All:
Would you like window cranks in your hardware kits? I can get the correct Early style chrome that went on 70-72 6's & 4's, the but ugly one's that went on 74ish-76 and even the skinny textured ones. Of course, the price for the kit would be higher because of the window cranks. If anyone is interested I'd be willing to put together a few test kits. You'd also get the 'desk pads'. |

How about a rocker panel kit? I installed fiberglass rocker panels years ago and when I jacked up the car I noticed all the screws or bolts were missing....just trying to give an idea....I guess I could probably buy them at the local hardware store but it would be nice to help out fellow 914 vendors.

Right, I need a few good people with either a 75 or 76 to measure the hardware for the fog lights. To sweeten the pot, I'll send (1) hardware kit to each of the (2) people who help me.
They get the choice of a lock kit (SS or Replica), Late Door Kit (SS or Replica), Engine Dress Kit (SS or Replica) or wait for the kit that will have the fog light hardware. If you're willing to help PM me. What I need (of all the hardware): Diameter Length Head type Threads per inch (if possible) If possible measure the gasket ID and OD where the harness comes out of the body You'll need: The foglights with hardware Patience Hand tools Digital Caliper ->Or go buy the Harbor freight bolt/screw gauge Ruler (for threads per inch) Camera Links on how to measure: Measure Length Measure Diameter Threads per inch Screw head types |

Eng Dress kits done, some of the Early Door kits are done, Late door kits will probably take a week or two.
I got a request from Brad yesterday (MUSR) to supply a specific kit, so I'll be working on that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I have started a website, but I haven't gone through and done the final QC. I will make it available after I do that. I'm going to start a poll gauging the interest in supplying the correct early chrome window cranks for all years and supplying the late door panel clips for all years due to the feedback I got yesterday. I'm so tired. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yellowsleep[1].gif) I got 3 hours of sleep before we left for MUSR 12. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) |

For all the newbies that have joined. I'm working with one of the member's here to offer all my hardware to members here in Oklahoma. Here is my website: 914Central, LLC I'm working on a new kit now. It's for the Clutch/Pressure Plate, throwout arm and bearing. The Bolts are correct. The dimensions were measured off NOS Porsche bolts that I bought and I'm including locking nuts as an upgrade. Plain nuts just don't cut it in their application. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Original Yellow Plate all around. If there is interest, I can buy ARP Stainless Steel bolts made in America that are equivalent in strength to 10.9 according to manufacturer. The catch is; they are expensive even at a wholesale price. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif) I am thinking of using these bolts for the front and rear suspension. This may require Pre-Ordering/Pre-Pay setup. If I go this way I would need a pre-paid commitment of at least 10 kits. But Made in USA high strength Stainless Steel bolts, maybe worth it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I do take requests on all kits and individual hardware. If you have upgrade(s) or modifications on the hardware, I will listen gladly. |
