Today I added balsa wood the rear lid

Do you remember where you purchased that balsa wood from? also what weight FG were you using? (4oz, 2oz..?) I have that same deck lid and want to add structure just like you have done so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The balsa wood is available at any hobby store and the fiberglass was 2oz

I am starting the race season late this year because I went to Hershey Swap Meet and missed the first race. I put on some new axles and new CVs...
car should be faster because of the yellow (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I won my first race a couple of weeks ago and finally got the video on youtube.
I qualified 12th and worked my way up to the lead by the second laps.

Glenn,
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) Congrats man! Great video - I love watching guys tiptoe through the rain, and it really seems to be the great equalizer in a 914. You looked like you were "reading" the track really well, you know just where to put the hammer down and where to be conservative when it was wet.

Glad to see you keeping one of the old IMSA relics alive. I'd love to have a car like that one day. Now we just need to get John (FourBlades') car out there.

I welded a short piece of bed frame angle iron to the crossbar in front of the mc and then made a little steel skid pan from that back to the floorboard. well protected in that area now

I love the part with the vette off the road on the first lap! I like to think of them as "steerable dragsters" in this case no so steerable!

It looked like you could have lapped the entire field at that pace.

Loved the way you boxed the 911 (912?) with the Datsun. Sweet move. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I was able to lap about half the field, it stopped raining and started to dry out and I had rain tires on.

I was looking at the gauge panel the other day while waiting to race and thought I might do a better job.

I found another steel gauge panel and sanded it down and cut a circle

Glenn,

What are you going to do with the 3.0?

How is the race season going?

What are you going to do with the 3.0?

The head studs are removed and the engine is shrink rapped until I can put the new SuperTec studs in and reassemble.
