I plan to be there Friday and Saturday. Where is everyone going to meet? I heard something about a beer garden. That's probably where I am headed anyway.

I got bad news today as Monterey parks canceled my camping reservations that I made the day that trace vent was announced "due to a race". These reservations were made in march and I received the letter in the mail Saturday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

On a good note, I will make other arrangements and will still be there for the weekend. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I am still looking forward to the event.

Last week when I called for camping (thru SCRAMP) they still had lots of campsites availible. Thye are more $$ than when you rent the same site from the county but that is the norm.
All the camping at Laguna for any race event has to go thru SCRAMP not the county.

I think my wife is secretly happy that they were canceled and we will either get a hotel or drive back and forth from San Jose.

Lets say Noon, easy to remember! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Do we have a vote on the matter? All those in favor, say 'Aye!' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

I'll be driving down from San Jose - maybe Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday. Maybe see you on the road.

I went to the Monterey Coffee & Cars last weekend and Harlen who is a board member with SCRAMP said they have more people attending this event than the Historics. Getting in and out and finding parking could be challenging.

I've found a Green parking pass on the Pelican Board, so if anyones interested, I may have a Blue parking pass for the event.

Attached is the latest schedule with description of the run groups.

Thanks Harlen....please keep us posted on the parking situation and the shuttlebus....I think I was told they won't know until early next week.

I apologize in advance if I've sent this twice as I'm having issues with my pc.

The MST buses will be running all 3 days from around the region. Please go to: www.mst.org and see Lines # 36, 37, 38, 39. Two parking areas to consider are Monterey Peninsula College and Embassy Suites hotel.

I apologize for the general parking area and SCRAMP is aware of it. Everything costs money and that is something a non-profit does not have. I spoke to the Traffic committee last week and asked them to see if they can come up with something for Porsche owners. They will, but can't promise they will have a solution. I also have a proposal, but will take some heavy negotiations with the county and I don't know if I will have enough time to pull it off. I will keep you posted.

Harlen

UPDATE: Just found out the MST buses will ONLY be running on Saturday and Sunday.

People participating in a group run or driving individually from So Cal are invited to stop at my shop in Santa Maria. If it's near lunchtime, maybe we can do lunch. Pretty good tri-tip sandwiches just a couple of blocks away. We'd be happy to see you! Because of long standing commitments, we'll not be joining the festivities in Monterey.

Heck! That's a good offer. Looking at the map Santa Maria appears to be about half way so lunchtime might be doable for any of us that want to stop. All those in favor, say 'Aye!' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

That sounds pretty good to me. And I think with both my vote, and Brents vote, we are in the majority, 'Aye!'
