I bought the RSR "Frosted" Finish And I only bought the Rears (17x9), as I wanted to check the quality and I can get a little rake to the car running 17"s in the rear & 16"s in the Front. I can always buy the Front Rotas

They charged me $643 for the Pair shipped

Are the Rota wheels considered track-worthy? They sure sound more economical than other options. I may be going to 17's and with other options >$3K/set (without rubber), two or three sets would be a huge outlay.

I know people that use them on the Track, but I won't. They are Gravity-Cast.

I think good for the Street, but not for the Track

Well, I took the Carpet & DynaMat off the Back Wall as the Glue was letting go on the carpet - Use Contact Cement not Spray Adhesive.

The Rubber Pad & Dynamat must have weighed 50-60 lbs

I then put a few strips of DynaMat back on and Contact Cement'd the Perlon Carpet back up

Then I started taking out the Original Shifter

Great job TC...Just when you get close to having the car running you'll find another great deal on a 914...abandon the Steel Roof for a period of time and give me more time to finish my project before this car ever turns a wheel!!!!!!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Not so quick there Mister - I told you on the Phone they we are going to wait to show our 914s at the Lake Mirror Classic once you get your car done, I figure around 2020. By then I'll have my GT, my ST, my 962, my GT1, etc

Actually I'm quite Happy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) with the GT & ST

I should have my Motor to put in next week (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

TC,
Can you comment on the location of your fuel gauge? Is this a location used on any of the GT cars? Did you install it in this location? If so, is it difficult to cut that hole in the dash? Need to find a place for my fuel gauge as I'm not using a center console.

The Silver ones are Aluminum that I had used on another car. I had traced the outlineof the fender and a Metalworker friend of mine cut them. I had to modify them a little for this car.

The Black ones are TechArt 911 Turbo side inlet inserts

Here are the Silver ones on my former car

My Garage was full of Totes full of parts and I could never get to them and could never find any parts.

So in an effort to organize, I opened all the Totes, Took out the parts that belonged to cars in question and put them in the cars - I accomplished 2 things - the parts are now with the right car and I can move around the Garage.

My Motor is finished and I need to go pick it up - the ST should be back on the Road soon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
