I am also in. I would like to know exactly which way to go for a LS3/ 915 trans set up. I am 6-1 and also wondered about the longer rod. Thanks

All 915 trans conversions use the 915 style shifter. What are you using for linkage? I'll give you the free knob, shift rod bushing, and firewall bushing, but you may not need the coupler bushings depending on your setup.

The standard shifter lever is the same knob position as stock, the longer is 2" along the stock angle (so up and back). Depends on your steering setup (spacers), length and arm length, seats, and plain personal preference which one you want. 911s are almost all better with the longer stick, but you sit higher and the steering wheel is higher from the floor in those.

It has a boot that covers the mechanism, not the housing or base. The boot that goes to the floor is the 911 boot and I sell those separately.

Joe, the boot that is on mine is one that I made. If you want to go this route let me know. Super easy to make and look factory on the car.
