17x8.5 fronts with 17x10 rears. The rears are 275/40 tires and are a little too big. I plan to replace these with 255/40 when I put the wheels on my LS1 car. Bob Bob, Why are the rears to big? Do you mean to tall? I contemplated 275/40's but ended up with 285 35's. The difference is very small, the 275's are slightly taller and the 285's are slightly wider. Overall im happy with my choice as the stance is amazing and the grip is pretty good. |

7.5x16 205-55x16 lip rolled, 7 wide would be perfect. Is that Palma Metallic Green? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) |

7x16 fronts 8x16 rears (951 offset). Fronts have 205/55's & they will just catch my valance. I am going to go down to a 215/45 ( I have had that on before with no problems). On the rears my fenders are slightly pulled & have 225/50's. These could not be any tighter. Until I get my flares on these will probably come back off. I haven't rubbed yet but I think under some hard cornering it would. Funny as I have more space inside than outside. 7" fuchs in back with 215/45's fit nice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

8.5 and 10X18 with 245/40's and 275/40's but I'm now running 225/40's and 285/30's which work alot better, the others were too tall. I like the 18's but I want a different deep offset wheel so I don't have to run such big ( 2.5" and 3") spacers. They're just too big and heavy and although I've beat on the car for several years without anything breaking or coming loose,
I just don't trust them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) |

Sorry for the horrible picture - here's mine with 16x8 & 9 Fuchs (951 front / 930 rear). I'm trying to figure-out the optimal wheel/spacer/tire setup now that my flares are finally done. I will likely end up with 17's at some point but am trying to get 15's or 16's to work for now (cheaper).

John, and Others with 8" wide wheels and 225 tires or wider on the front end, how is the steering effort?
I currently have 15 x 6.5" wheels with 205 tires and find that these are fine effort-wise. If I ever get the flares on I would like to go 8" all around, maybe... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |

Can you fit 15x 7" at the front and 15x 8" at the back in a narrow body, without flaring/rolling? What about 16" of the same width??
