Wanted to compile the weight for each year of 914.
To make absolutely sure it is 'apples to apples', wanted to use the DIN Weight shown in the back of the Porsche Owner's Manual. The only manual I have is for my 914-6 which shows the car to be 2,075 DIN Weight. If you have an owners manual for your car and have the time, please contribute - specify the year. Thanx ... |

The owner's manual for my 1974 doesn't specifically list a DIN weight. But here is what it does have:
Unladen weight - 2139 lbs Maximum payload - 550 lbs Total permissible weight - 2690 lbs Now, my manual covers both the 1.8 & 2.0 cars. But, it does not differentiate regarding the weight. |

WOW ... there's going to be a heck of a difference between the lightest 1970 and the heaviest 1976.
Either that or the definition of DIN has changed over the years !!! |
