Yes went to a small coffee and cars at steelhead coffee in Laguna Hills on Sunday st 7 am. Met Met my father in law there with his green ‘75 and my ophoenix red 74. On the way there I saw s white 914 out for a drive. John the owner of that beautiful white 71 has owned it since 1973. He went there too where we saw a fourth 914 the Shell striped car. 16 year old son got to drive home, great fun!

It may be on 1/2 acre and lots of backyard. Looks great. Any ware In L.A. that would be 2 million or more. How big is the lot? That is the like. Serious man cave complex. Bob B |

A little bit of surface rust clearing from underneath and some bilt hamber zinc rich primer as a first coat. Stinky stuff.
Likely hot running problem due to hot manifolds and fuel evaporation but still looking into this. |

Working on the 1970 garage find. Last CA reg 1985. With my trusty assent Albert! Doors are off getting ready to see what the rockers look like on the right side of car. Gaps are great on this car and even thought it has an acid hole in the rear of car not side 4 inches from where the battery tray was it may be OK. If it shows deep trouble I will rethink it. Gaps are great and lifting by jack posts (no sag)
On jack stands now. More pictures later when rockers come off. I see no rust anywhere on the longs or door jams. I put the lugs in the vibrator machine from Harbor Freight (It is louder than the one I used for brass shells a long time ago) to clean them up Bob B [attachmentid=654 524][attachmentid =654528] Attached image(s) |

The car is now masked up ready for the paint damage to be repainted.
Ordered a pair of seal from Porsche. Ordered new window winder handles and some hardware screws, clips etc. The targa roof is in pretty good condition so that has had coat of paint adhesive in readiness to repaint. |
