(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) There are 'some' guys out here that could actually make a whole car out of most of that stuff (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif)

I bought a 5k# winch for the new trailer (love those 20%-off Harbor Freight coupons)

Also picked up some DupliColor® 500° semi-gloss paint for the '6' tin and a couple more cans of Rustoleum® 'Rust Reformer' flat black for the blast cabinet dolly, which I hope to complete tomorrow.

... and later that same evening: hot-tanked and blasted several more pieces of the '6' tin ... hoping to prime those remaining pieces tomorrow as well.

Put the front bumper back on, and cleaned up a stock horn pad with a bit of bling (a Porsche crest) & remounted the stock steering wheel. Oh, and went thru a bunch of stuff & put it in the classifieds. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Talked to Kenny at Pelican on the phone, finding out how many shift linkage and original axle/CV parts are NLA. But did order some more shift linkage bushings, and some bits for the 968.

Stopped at Sears after work for more wrenches - the 6-point closed end type for the tougher rusted fasteners. And the 50% off set of bolt extractors, for when the new wrenches and loosening juice aren't enough... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

After 3 years of not having working reverse lights, I found the needed motivation to fix it. (Backing out of a parking spot in between two SUV's, almost got nailed by a pickup going WAY too fast through a small parking lot.)

So, I finally have reverse lights working. Typical problem, worn down pin. two minutes on a lathe, and I'm good to go.

Lifted the car cover for the first time in months, started her up (fired right up!), took her to the car wash, filled up the gas tank and drove to work.

I had almost forgotten how much fun this car is. Almost ...

Opened my UPS shipment of steel fender flares and held them up to the side of the car just to get my first look.

I did that for almost 6 months, so I know how you feel.

I'm at roughly 10 months now, hopefully less than 1 to go...
