Sold it to another enthusiast. Wanted to thank the forum members who helped me get the car back together the past four years, especially SirAndy for the forum itself, and TheCabinetmaker, GaroldShaffer, Dominic, ChrisFoley, Mrs. K, gcrotvik, Mikey914, raynekat, 914Sixer, JeffBowlsby, Larmo63, Spoke, SKL1, Eric_Shea, and mepstein for various parts and moral support. Replaced engine mounted oil cooler. Re-mounted fuel pump (much quieter now). Replaced Alt. belt. Cleaned up some wiring while engine was out. Car has never run stronger since repair was completed.

Spent 1.5 hours getting this f'n shock out of this 3.5" insert only to have the shock body get stuck inside.... I still haven't tackled the other side.. Mike, stand the strut upright, spray some PB Blaster into it and try again in a day or two. You may need to apply some heat to the housing if the Blaster doesn't do the trick.I'm out of breath and pissed off...at this point the 914 can fucking rot.... |

Starting to prep and epoxy prime another set of bumpers for myself...brought these back to life from the dead. They were in BAD shape. Front is a GT Mod bumper Ben did for me... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) to @mb911 These are going to be satin black, later I'll do my other set for my V8 car. Oscar Looking good, Oscar. That primer looks like Dupont "Veri Prime". Is it? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Not familiar with Veri-prime Kent...It's Valspar VP-50 Epoxy Primer, not cheap but I have had excellent results for years. Oscar |

Who names some of our cities? Bolsa Chica = little bag (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
... and Oxnard? ... someone thought it would be cool to name their city after one of a bovine's reproductive organs? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) |

Worked on my CA plates for #41. Picked up my chrome bumpers for a 1970 from Oscar. Thanks, so much Oscar Bob B (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) What color of blue did you end up using? |
