Finally, a scheduled day off coincided with a warm and dry weather forecast. I used the opportunity to enjoy a nice, long, all-day drive.
I accomplished my goal of burning an entire tank of gas and not returning home until after the little red light came on. I even found time to stop and take a couple of photos. |

I cleaned off the oil and paint from my 911 3.5" Boge struts. Lots of surface rust that I need to take care of on one.
Any paint recommendations? |

I cleaned off the oil and paint from my 911 3.5" Boge struts. Lots of surface rust that I need to take care of on one. Any paint recommendations? I just did mine a week ago. I used VHT Rollbar & Chassis paint. I like it. Sorry the hat isn't on in this pic, I'm waiting for new inserts to arrive. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-20845-1551124749_thumb.jpg) |

First drive this year. Kind of dictated by some POS that broke into my daily driver. Looks like a winery not too far from my work in Livermore (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Yes, Concannon @Mueller |

I will update my build thread soon - making progress on reconfiguring 914R to be more street-friendly / less cop-magnet. Last weekend I finished stripping the race graphics and worked on the pedalboard area (painful). Have some new streetable tires on order now and thinking about seats.
The hood is sitting high and I'm not sure how to improve that. It's a super light GT f/g lid with a replacement hood seal pushing it up too much. I need to check where I sourced the seal and determine if it's correct. Mechanically it's running awesome and I love the Dansk I put on recently. The trans needs work however, TBD. |

Finally got my car home from its GT transformation. Steel flares, fibreglass bumpers, sills etc, full GT cooling setup, Through hood filler, bonnet pins etc etc... Looks fantastic. What engine? Do you have a build thread? @mph911 |
