Cked wheels that I bought on 914world a year ago. Warped. All of them but one of the 5. Cast wheels are not a great thing. Only for an art project or rollers in shop

Finished cleaning the last of my parts fro my Dual Weber rebuild in the ultra-sonic parts washer.

Touching up roll cage & reinstall after all new interior.
Replaced seat rails with race adjustable & grade 8 bolts.

Stripped & repainted the hellhole from PO's silicone mess.

Repainting the rear firewall engine side.

In the middle of a progressive carb to L-jet conversion. All parts on hand, new FI harness fabrication nearly complete, pulled fuel tank and having it refurbished (lots of rust inside). Removed carb and manifold. Need to remake ignition harness. Next: Clean and paint runners and plenum plus get started on ignition harness. Pictures to follow.[font=Comic Sans Ms]

Sort of 914 related ... I bought a MIG welder from Kent at the G&R [914] swap meet last Sunday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I picked up and assembled a cheap welding cart from Harbor Fright today ... seems like it'll do the job (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

hmm.. maybe I have things arranged wrong but the HF welding cart causes my welder to lean back (shelf is angled)... which makes the hoses interfere with my gas cylinder that sits on it tank platform. DRIVES ME NUTS!! just make the shelf flat!! ... but it was cheap (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

The top shelf tilts back on mine too, but you can drill additional holes in the front vertical supports if you want to mount it flat.

I rolled it out front across the grass to get the 140 out of the back of my truck, and rolled it back the same way. It didn't feel wobbly at all. Just assemble with the hardware loose-fitting on a flat surface, then cinch it all down and it will be level, straight and plumb. The first screw stripped over-tightening it, but there was a spare in the bag ... I just made sure not to over-tighten the remaining ones.

When I get a gas bottle, I'm going to cut-out an appropriate-sized hole in a piece of thick wood and place it on the bottom shelf for the bottle to sit in, and cut a semi-circular wooden upper support ... and I'll use some ratchet-straps to secure the bottle, rather that the supplied chains.

It was a 'pre-owned' welder, fresh out of a repair session - got it from Kent ( @76-914 )

Drove my car to a Porsche restoration shop open day - 180-mile round trip in the sunshine and the car's first proper outing since importing it. Nothing fell off, so that's a good start.

Excuse poor photo - not mine (I'm in the grey sweater/grey hair combo in front of the car) – seems like my buddy never cleans the lens on his phone! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Took a day off and took the wife on a 100 mile Oregon PCA Arrive & Drive.
Instead of flying down for Luft #6.

Car got a new clutch on Friday. Had to smell the new exhaust gaskets and cooking anti seize for a bit. But nothing like open air motoring.
