Took it out of the garage for a spin this am. Interesting thing is, I have not started it since the return from the RT66. The Clewett system is flawless if used regularly. If let to sit for a couple of weeks, it will not fire up on first revo. It takes a 15 to 25 second turn over to fire. I am thinking it related to oil pressure - not ignition.

Been a while since I fired up the old girl ,usually try ever month but life gets in the way, started very cold blooded and spat and farted for a short time then came right.
Really think this is a strong engine but the future is more carb work and timing setup as I think my dizzy is 1 tooth out, I know it can run better but have no time to do it @ the moment. Really enjoyed my time tinkering, will find time to do more as it takes my mind off the house reno work which is wearings me down. |

Paid the price of not posting the photos and video I have been hoarding of the work Cary did to get my blue car up and running reliably. And all the interesting places we've gone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
Pushing the car back into the garage after work and got too close to all the crap hanging off the handle of my bench vise sitting on the shelf. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) That's the culprit, it had that electrical stuff and my big jumper cables hanging on it from starting my girls sportster this weekend. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) Mr. Fender, meet Mr. Bench Vice and his friend Gravity. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif) Now I have an opportunity to have the Super In Law teach me about metal repair. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) That IS organized. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) It was messy before the shelving showed up. Now it's just crowded. I like that. Just "crowded".
I'll use that from now on - giving proper acknowledgement to the source, of course. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) GN I am so glad to see someone else's garage as messy as mine! Thank you!
