sweet!! did you get the chrome tip covers too?? and I see you have the O2 sensor location same as mine. you will like that set up I think. look forward to seeing it in a few weeks, No chrome tips for now but may add later. Was a busy weekend on the 914, will get my tank expansion tank back on tonight, pulled it to replace heat tubes and the air tubes up front and finished reinstalling all the trim on the sail panels after redoing the vinyl, big job, hard to get it perfect this is my 3rd time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Thanks to Keith Hully (914Toy), he helped change out the heat exchangers. Lots of small stuff got fixed and everything is sound

The muffler hanger end was broken, Keith fabricated a new end from a shelf bracket

Well done! thanks! it really does look so much better. The original clamps actually were yellow zinc plated, but have some overspray on them etc. i will try and clean them up, and have not been successful in finding identical ones so silver will do for now. i was surprised at how the Mequire's plastic polish and cleaner made the diverter boxes look like new!. bits and pieces here and there. Its not perfect or concours but it sure is an improvement. |
