Success...got the new master cylinder in the car with all the lines tightened up. Now I have to remove it since I don't like how tight the rear hose is to the body, I'll shorten the fitting as I should have done from the beginning.

Thank you Keith! Those are already installed when I bought this project but I might remove them since I will be using the car for street driving/cruising. And maybe the orientation now looks like that because there is no engine weight now. Aftermarket swaybar, doesn't mount to the arms at the shock but on the other side of the axles. Find the Addco install manual. @ndfrigi Thank you @Chris914n6! It is like on the picture below? Plus the top mount was not on the proper place which it dented a little bit the rear trunk floor. But again I will be removing the rear sway bar and not installing it back. thank you again! |

The droplink should be near vertical. It looks like your current setup will bind as the geometry is all wrong. Addco_974 914 rear |

Bleed the Boxster calipers on the 914. Used my Mityvac and my Motive pressure tank.
Then decided to take a peek inside the blower housing. What a mess, I could barely turn the impeller. Hopefully it can be salvaged once cleaned up. |

Sanding down peeled paint on rocker panels & prepping them for new paint. They presently are the only thing on the car that looks horrible because of a lousy paint job by a PO..........

Changed a water pump and came to a halt, parts store got me the wrong timing belt /tensioner pulley..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Engine came with two different tensioners and belts depending on year. NOT interchangeable. Is it a VW TDI motor, certainly looks like it? |

Upgraded my ‘87 Carrera fog lights to LED arrays designed by Spoke.
(IMG:https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49783295822_88f75ecdaf_z.jpg) Installation was straight forward. Instructions and pics can be found on his website, SpokeworksLED.com. My original H5 low beams now beg for an upgrade! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/live.staticflickr.com-1239-1587125980.1.jpg) |

Mark Whitesell called me from 914 Rubber this morning to inform me that my newly upholstered early tan door panels are finished and ready to ship (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I received the tan seat & backpad upholstery a couple weeks ago, so Ill have everything to convert from black to tan soon. He's supposed to send me some pix of the fabric to convert center gauge consoles they;re working on too. I'm thinking about installing a center console in 'HOWARD', even though it wasn't original equipment ... might as well make it tan too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |
