This behemoth of a rolling lift jack (350 lbs.) was delivered today.

Attached Image

It's sitting on a HF hydraulic table now, so hoping to roll onto the 4-post lift without injuring myself too badly ... just line up the elevations and slide it onto the lift's rails, right? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I’ve been thinking about getting a lift jack as well. Let us know how you like it!

Pushed the engine-less car out into the driveway and scrubbed out as much dirt as possible from the engine compartment, under the rear trunk and in the gas tank area. Not very exciting work (but very soggy), so I didn't bother taking pics.

Sheet metal repairs start today!

Love my rolling jacks. Have 2 on the 4 post lift so you can have all four wheels off. Wish I had a 2 post for working on the cars but these work pretty well.

I'd love to have two of them ... but can only afford one of them right now.

Also, my lift is currently outside and I need to keep up on maintenance on it (lubrications on the cables & guides, etc.), so I'll need to fabricate a canvas cover for the jack when not in use. At 350 lbs., moving it on and off the lift doesn't seem too appealing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

@jim_hoyland love that look too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)
keep thinking of doing that with the polished set that came on my car because they're a little too "bling" for my taste in full polish

@DRPHIL914

i bought them back before Automotion got sold. porsche chrome acorns. i only have them on front due to the rear studs are longer so i had to use open ones.
i think you might be able to get them from Porsche or maybe Sierra Madre.

I have a new unused set of black alloy nuts; but they get marked up so fast. That’s one reason I’d like to go chrome. LA Wheel sells these on eBay for $7.20 a pop

Decided to upgrade. Can you guess what it is yet??
Attached Image

Yep this is the inner tie rod attached to the rack, with the boot removed. This is the outer end, the outer tie rod boot had gone before I removed it from the knuckle.

Attached Image

Here's the old one removed and the new replacement. Attached Image

I am a bit nervous about the new nut for the tie rod end. Someone advised me the new set up was nyloc nuts rather than castellated ones with split pins. Mine are neither nyloc or castle nuts - just plain metal with no pin hole in the ball jt bolt or plastic insert in the nut. The top edge of the nut does seem to be a thinner material, but...???
If you fit it and then need to undo it to adjust the wheel alignment/tracking do you have to buy two new bolts????

Changed out the full polish wheels to the black/anodized Turbo wheels, can't wait to try out the new tires on them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Like the interior color is that creamy white, is it a factory color?

Started my car this morning, this is the off season HOT so just wanted to start it up, it's been 2 weeks, started up strong, makes me so happy to see that. It's still up on wood and ramps to check many things under the car over this long sitting season until OCT.

Hey Eric- like the black/anodized wheels much better on your car. The full polished wheels on your car, IMHO, were just too much. Happy 4th. Michael (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
