I painted my car, it was the first time i had done so. This year i've noticed cracks appearing accross the car in various places. Today i had a guy who works in a major body shop come and take a look at it. It seems i've put the paint on too thick. I will need to rub it back and just put the correct amount on. Oh well. If you don't try something you want to try, you would chastise yourself for not trying later. This is not a failure. You learned something, and you will only get better at it. Good job. Greg W. |

I believe they're from the early/mid 90s.
EDIT: Found it in Alpine's 1994 catalog ... http://antique-autoradio-madness.org/alpin...1994-cata_3.htm |

... It's an Alpine 7510. Does anyone know what year it could be from? I couldn't find any information on the internet. I bought one of those for my 914 back in the early mid-80s. Still have it somewhere along with an equalizer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

Not quite sure this qualifies as 'what did YOU do to your 914 today' but close enough. Was at the Red Barn today and Chris @Tygaboy noticed the newest member of the stable needed some block off plates for the tinware. 15 minutes later and fresh off the plasma table! Thanks Chris!!

Finished sanding and priming the deck lid. Next step....going to Matte it out with black paint and eventually cover with 3M Matte Black Vinyl. Then reassemble with new welting and seals.....sans the badging.

Can't get enough of it. And surprisingly the brochure of the 7510 is in Dutch , wich is my native language. I also have the impression that the old Alpine plays better than my new one. Robin |

Added tires and wheels to match the rears and some meatballs for the obvious torque gains. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

What are you doing now Kent? Window tinting. Discovered after I removed the side & rear glass that the tinters prefer it installed in the car so there is support for the glass. I can't argue with that logic. I need to pull it anyway so that I could repair the drivers storage box and the warped door panel. Also I needed to replace the psg window which had a bad spot where I hit it with the grinder years ago. It would have stuck out like a sore thumb after tinting. Hope to have it tinted this week. It bothers me when the sun is roasting my neck. Even with the AC on. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Worked on the plumbing for the motor, waiting for a few more fittings to finish it.
Made a new battery hold down for the 914 tonight from some scrap aluminum |
