Started it up in storage today and every 2 weeks. Our EXTREME heat we have had in AZ does not really allow for it to be used in summer months.

new speedocable and angle drive installed today. should be easy but of course the center console etc all has to come out, and it’s tight going thru firewall opening as i also have the O2 sensor cord going thru there as well. gave me a chance to install the back pad light, which i had not done since the upholstery guy didn’t cut the hole for the light.
light is in but it just does not want to grab the metal brackets . fought it for half an hour with pad out, finally got it in, installed the back pad into the car etc etc, and as i push the pad up into place it popped loose (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) ugh , i think i need to look for an OEM light anyway—— Attached thumbnail(s) |

I am having the clear-bra installed tomorrow morning. So I put the car on the left today so it is all ready for them. They usually do the installs at the bodyshop. But my garage is clean and dust free so they said they would be happy to come to my home to do the install. The lift makes it easier for them to since our cars are so low.

Finished installing Jerry's/Spokeworks' LED brake light modules. Bottom-line up front: Nicely packaged, great on-line instructions, well-made, and they provide a simple but HUGE improvement.
I took a lot of pics which I can post in a separate thread if required, but these two probably say the most: Looking back over the roll-bar, parking/running lights on; LED on driver's side (right), normal incandescent (1157?) on passenger's side (left). Same view but with brake lights; again, LED on driver's side (right), normal incandescent (1157?) on passenger's side (left). I was using the garage door as a screen because I was home alone and couldn't work the brake and see the brake lights any other way (the old dilemma: "How Can You Be in Two Places at Once When You're Not Anywhere at All"). Turns out to be a good way to gauge the difference between old and new. Anyways, REALLY happy with the LED brake light modules' increased intensity...and they light up a split second sooner too, which might--just might--translate to a little quicker reaction on the part of the yoho behind me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I've started saving up for the turn signal modules. |

Open wide and say Ahh. Looking fantastic Kent now all you need is a Turbo hahahahah Thx Harry, Just remembered I stole part of the engine harness and didn't replace it. Glad I remembered before I stabbed the engine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) |

The clear-bra was installed today. See my thread for details about the installer if interested. They did a full hood wrap, full front fenders, headlights, fog lights, door edges below the handles, door cups, eye brows and headlight covers. The also did the fender well lips- the 1/2" wide part that is what gets rock chipped like crazy from the tires.
I am now protected and ready to drive. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Stopped off to get tacos and on the way home saw this at the local sushi place. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif) Had to stop and get a pic. A green one,,,, from NEW JERSEY? Whats that doing in my town? Wondering if Mark or Matt (914 Rubber) have picked up a new one from back east maybe? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Maybe someone on the world? Your a long way from home little teener. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) Anyhow glad to see another one off the jack-stands and enjoying the summer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) If your still in town Ochoa's tacos on Baseline b'twn 2nd and 3rd is waaaay better than sushi. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) |
