Last Cars & Coffee event locally - only ten cars showed up, of which two 944s, a Cayman R and my 914 waved the Porsche flag. Building in the background is an old engine house from the location's past history as a tin mine...

Have a stuck float (I think) on the drivers side Dellorto, so took both carbs off for service. I know the fuel injection crowd doesn't have to deal with this, but I love my dual Dells, and it only took like 30 mins to get them off. And I was enjoying adult beverages so was working slowly.

Bled and bled and bled the brakes with a pressure bleeder followed by an old fashioned pedal stomping jamboree. They are probably about 80% of the way there but ran out of brake fluid.

Driver’s side torsion bar had been driven in to the max (highest possible) and drivers side was still sitting lower than the right. Pulled the adjuster and put it on a few splines higher and the car is visibly more level.

Pulled my rear shocks today in prep for axles. Mulholland????. Cleaned up a bit. They appear to be ok visually anyways. Made it onto the car at some point in its previous life. Are they any good?
KYB quality?

I think they were made by Boge, and they were a less expensive alternative.

Doesnt sound like they are real good then. Had a feeling about that. Plan is to replace them with Bilstein once the funds are avail. Thanks

had a full weekend!!! just got back from first trip since the flat bed fiasco trying to get to Okteenerfest. Went to air cooled meet sponsored by Porsche Classics ans motor and the Jacksonville Fl Porsche dealer, 3+ hours of driving, Hurley Haywood was there with us driving his Outlaw 356, and we had 8 914’s among the 50+ cars. i put 700 mile’s on the car!! no issues with the new relay board or new motor. i just did the valve clearance on it beforehand. i think my tune on the 2.1 is about there. here are a few pictures

we ended at the Brumos museum.
the 1975 red 914 is a recently acquired one owner 8,000 mile mint survivor!!!! originally a california car, stored inside in a shop for 40 years, just back on the road this last year.
i took a broken tail pipe in the front hood so i am looking at a repair to my no longer perfect paint job - could have been worse, the Xpel PPF helped but this will have to be stripped off and repainted and ppe reapplied.

the 914's in front of the Brumos trailer are left to right: Chris H. 73, Mike P. 72, my 75, and Tommy's 73 LE, the other guys had already left, but James and Ethan were there too.

This weekend ran the 2.0 4 cyl 914 race car. SCCA history as a regional champ and national podium car. Breaking in new engine, suspension, and front oil cooler. Got a nice dial in for the track suspension as well. Was pretty fun! Sadly will be offering up soon as need funds for updating the 6.

The taycan arrived Friday so it slipped into the garage overnight as well lol. Its HUGE next to the race car.

Some cool events going on... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

I'm just waiting for a new clutch cable so I can get back out there... going to polish the wheels in the mean time. Trying some poorboys wheel polish on my anodized fuchs.

Got our Palma Green example out for probably the last time this year, a couple of rain drops, but snow is coming this weekend and the road salt won't be far behind. Thats ok, plenty of projects to look forward to for the next several months

Nice Tycan… Did you have a spare dedicated 50 amp circuit or have to extend your service? Did you buy the ~5’ charging pedestal?

We just brought online 48 solar panels and installed a dedicated 50 amp nema socket to get ready for our Tycan …with all the badges stripped as well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Printed a part for the oil cooler, it came out really well. It is the first part to be completed by the printer. Probably gonna get modified some how just because it's a prototype and I am in charge. Actually I think that this one is it. Now I need 3 more just like it. It's a 20 hour print.

A R's build thread is in the Paddock. This little plug is in hopes of bringing the total viewership over 30K.

Cut out some holes and flattened some grills to fill in the holes.
