Over 50*F here today, so crew-dog and I took the 914 out for over 50 miles (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
First 914 drive since returning from MN; sure was good to be back behind the wheel! |

Today I finished the door panel project. Pictures to come. One door panel was the early style with the metal top, the other was the late all fiberboard. Couldn't easily duplicate that fiberboard top so I cut out the bad lower section and spliced in some new material with fiberglass. I went back to the plain vinyl and while I thought it might be too plain looking, with all the pockets and handles, I think I like it better than the later basket weave style. Next is redoing the speakers back to their original spot now that the doors are solid again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

Took the '74 to the shop, going to do the following:
1) Install new right rear hub 2) Install new right rear bearing 3) Install new rear springs 4) Setup the new "oil sump" kit from @914werkes 5) Oil change with Bradd Penn oil. Lots of fun stuff getting installed, should make the car ride a bit better on the back end. We'll see though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Added some style and shine to my calipers as I reassemble my brake lines and get ready to bleed the new system.
