(IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) Decided that the 914 that I've had in storage (outdoors) is not coming back and will be parted out.

Took off the SE front spoiler, the rear duck tail spoiler, the fiberglass rockers, and bumpers.

I then discovered (it's been in storage for a while) that it has factory sway bars... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I will have to get the front bar off another day, but brought all the other goodies home to refurbish for the 75' resto

This weekend I was able to replace all my brake lines soft and hard, bled the whole system. I also installed the 100 mm studs for my spacers . My next step is to move to the electrical items then, like testing lights and wipers. Getting closer. Hershey is around the corner.

I installed new calipers and a 19mm M/C in my '75 (the infamous Batmobile) back in early 2007. The drive train was removed in March of 2008. In the third quarter of 2011, we removed the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump and hoses, and during the process, we apparently disturbed the lines from the reservoir to the M/C. Further checking found that the inlet grommets on the M/C had deteriorated (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Good thing we found the problem prior to putting the car back on the road.

Traced down an electrical fault that had left me stranded on my way home from school. Reverse lights harness was shorting out on the gearbox, and causing the no.9 fuse to pop. Took me three hours to get it figured out.. But I did.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Nice on the dry sump! Rich came over yesterday and started welding in the inner long piece. Jon Bovey stopped by for a few and helped. Then later that night, Robert stopped by and we talked electronics....more to come.

Today is the first day in years that actual work is being done on my project. My 3.6 motor begins the process of being made ready for install today. Heads checked for exhaust valve guide wear, seals checked and replaced.... then the new go fast goodies will be installed. yay.
