Painted the engine mount bar and front valance ...
... and sprayed tan vinyl fabric paint on the center console armrest/box components. 'Someone' poked 2 holes in the arm cushion at some point in the past. Rather than fill them, I inserted all-thread nuts and will attempt to construct some sort of cup-holder assembly on top. |

So far so good that is always a magic moment too me. when you put the juice to a car that hasnt run in years and years. its like your bringing it back to life. i found a 58 european model beetle behind an old german womans house. it had 40k kilometers on it. hadnt run in 40 years. its cool seeing everything coming back to life. |

Went through all the wiring connections; with contact cleaner, female connections, shrink wrap, and anti-corrosion battery spray. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) i think this is a fantastic practice for our cars. every time i unplug a connector i put a dab of loctite dielectric grease on it before i plug it in... sure save a lot of headaches. and it makes the electrical devices work better. its a win win. |

Nothing on I my 914 today but drove 400 miles with a haul car hauler to go see inspect and maybe buy a 74 914, but 20 miles from my exit I stopped to get gas, and pulling off the freeway my '07 navigator just quit running. It either the fuel pump or brain.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) But I will be doin (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) g a P.P.I. tomorrow, and if all checks out I might be brining home another 914!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) But I was not planning on driving it home -with but we will see. Good thing for AAA, and 100 mile towing.! Also the dealership and mechanic is 1open mile from the hotel and 2 miles from the car. Any other 914 guys in Chattanooga, Tn? |

Well the other day I changed the oil and put in new plugs etc., and early this am started off on my trip to Portland OR. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) I am currently sitting in a hotel room with a cocktail in Woodland CA (north of Sac) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) and mentally flipping off my friends that thought it was a bad idea to load up my clothes in my 37 year old sports car and go to the great rainy ass north at the start of February ( with the top off no less). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif) Tomorrow in the am going to Shasta and points north. So far so good.

I replaced my exhaust and getting her prepped for the Big cup wheels to go on and started refinishing the top off my 73 so I can get rig of the top with a cheesy sunroof.
Some progress.... Still much to go before spring |
