Turned the flowmasters 90 and added a crossover and some tailpipes.
Really quieted it down.

NICE sixnotfour. was that the one that was for sale a month or so ago. Very nice Teener either way. Looks like Pa. Tags?

Today I replace all my fuses and pulled the steering wheel to realign it after I had put it on off center after I replaced the ingition switch last week. Also broke the horn wire tab again in doing so. I'll fix that tomorrow. This time I'm going to make a clip on tab and see if it will work.

Took a nice ride around South Central York Conty Pa. before the weather set in. Car runs great but been having problems with ignition. Pretty much think it was the "74 logic relay by-pass. I had bridged the two large yellow wires to by pass the seatbelt relay but I think the bridged connection was causing my ignition problems. I redid the bridge and the ignition seems to be fine today, fires up every time. crossing fingers and hope so.

Went to Cars and Coffee with my dad. It was nice to see him, and talk about just stuff at breakfast afterwards.

Then took the top off this afternoon and cruised Mission in Pomona and grabbed some tacos. Good day I'd say

Watched your video, NICE! But I don't think the music was by Earth, Wind and Fire. It sounds like Little Walter on the mouth organ!

Did some more piddly items today. Finished running the SS fuel lines all the way up through the engine shelf (with some of those nifty grommets that Racer Chris sells), started cleaning up under the fuel tank and front trunk area (still need to deal with the gaping hole from the removed air conditioning condenser). I also installed some carpet to hide the visible crap under the cowl.
Attached Image

Attempted to install some carpet on the firewall. I think I bit off more than I can chew, ain't going to be as easy as I thought (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
Attached Image

Removed the front bumper to deal with non-working horns ... and confirmed what I've always suspected - the PO did not install any dog-bones when back-dating the bumpers. Removed stock horns and installed a set of [extremely loud] air horns (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Painted my windshield wiper arms and the engine lid grilles, and mounted an '86 Corvette third brake light assembly to the lid.
Attached Image

Also, applied a second coat of paint to the front valance. This time I used a textured rubber undercoating spray (to cover up my piss-poor metal reshaping skills) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) The texture of the paint is very similar to the targa top's texture.

Not my wife.. She notices everything about our cars, including when I put a sticker on her 914 one time. That caused a hell of a fight.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)

Now I ask permission to modify her 914. But there are advantages. I got her seat belts for her 914 last Christmas, and a new dash pad and knee pad the year before.

I worked it out with the UPS and FedEx guys to call me 10 minutes before they get here if it's got my name on it then we meet at the corner. Wife never knows and the delivery guys don't have to drive all the way up the driveway.

Small town living's got it's advantages.

Prepped stainless steel heat exchangers I got on ebay. Polished the stainess steel and painted the exhaust with heat paint. Waiting on exhaust gaskets from Pelican to install.
