Went to C&C in Irvine and saw 914kids beautiful blue car of the month. Didnt see him around, then the car was gone when I was back in the area where his car was (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Also chatted it up with the owner of a sweet restored tangerine 914-6. He said he has a resto thread here. Anyone have a link?

Had a flat tire on the way home from work, it had s hole I could stick my finger into. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Tried to find a used one to replace it, but nobody had one. The only tires the shop had in 196/65/15 were Firestone champions. I only had time to get the one I had off of the carcchanged before they closed, so I'll get another one tomorrow, and get two more next paycheck...

I guess the good news is that I'll have a new set of firestones instead of the primewells I was going to buy soon anyhow.

Hey Ripper, did it look this bad? (I could put my whole hand in it, in several places) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

This happened to the front left on the Vanagon a couple days before my desert camping trip. Had to buy two new Yokohama LT SuperVans (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Went to get in the 'BB' this morning - and there's a parking ticket on it !!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

The meter maid in our neighborhood is obviously crooked. I'm going to fight this (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)

Finished up my rear suspension rebuild on Lil Bastard, specifically adjusting the venting clearances for the rear calipers. Bleh. Not a fun job. Actually it took all afternoon to get them perfect.
Now to get my GF to help me bleed the brakes and then safety wire the CV inner flange bolts and I can FINALLY take him off the jack stands!

More cleaning the workshop.

Cleaning.

Organizing old parts, parts to reuse, and new parts.

Made a "to sell" pile.

Drove about 100 miles. Nothing broke. I wonder what I missed? Surely I couldn't have fixed everything?

These are the days I love this care! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I was driving the 'BB' to get a bite to eat last night when an unanticipated rain shower hit. It dumped quite a bit of water and I found myself hydroplaning a few times (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Guess it's time for that set of new tires to go on it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Bright and sunny today, the 'BB' is nice and clean, and I drove to my Dr.'s appt. ... will probably drive it to the shop today as well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Didn't touch the 914...

But I ran the air hose in the attic from the compressor on one garage, about 50 feet to the ceiling mounted new air hose coil on the other garage.

I am happy because...

1. I did not stand up prematurely and impale my scalp on roofing nails
2. I did not fall through the ceiling drywall into the garage.
3. No leaks.

However... I was missing ONE final coupling to finish the job! LOL.

At least I don't have to go back in that freaking attic!
