It stopped running after a 2-hour drive home from Porsche to Ohio. At least it got me to about 5 miles from home. Towed it to the shop (Autobahn Garage in Findlay OH). Turns out it was the coil that failed. Should have a new one in tomorrow.

Finally back home after two weeks in Vegas working. Took the 914 out to run my son to the auto parts store. Fired right up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) I figured the battery would be weak if not dead.
Then, at the parts store... wouldn't crank (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Usual issue so bump start and off we go. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

I've used the Flared Ends off aftermarket Rocker Panels & Bonded them to Original Metal Pieces. But those look killer |

Today I put on a new passenger side turn signal lens (thanks Rhodyguy, perfect!).
Then, clay-barred the entire car, head to toe and waxed it with carnauba paste wax. Then, went for a drive along the beach. Put on your sunglasses and behold! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . Attached image(s) |

Drove (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) the car up to Artist Point last evening. Local Club Outing, that I instigate. Invited Nate along also (aircooledtechguy). Love that drive.

Drove to work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Third time this week as the DC summer has been kind and gentle this year. I got to work early and found my normal spot at the far end of the parking lot. Later this morning I was amused by who decided to be "friendly" with me:
I'm not sure they know the real reason I park there: in case my starter doesn't want to work I can simply drift straight down the little hill its on for an easy bump start. Maybe they are there for the same reason I am (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |
