... BTW, I've got my old Simplex Challenger go-kart (which I got in 1961!) and recently found a rebuilt West Bend 580 just like it had way back when. Gonna restore the kart someday as well!! Those old Karts are very cool but pricey! I just sold a basket case west bend 700 off a weed wacker for $300. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) now i can buy like 5 brand new weed wackers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) About 20 years ago, a friend who worked at Hughes Helicopter and I started a 1/4 scale RC helicopter project that was going to get the motor, but my friend moved up to Seattle and we never finished it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I'd love to have another kart, but I doubt it will happen. Maybe I can toss it in a Taco Frijole minibike though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

With all the time off I've been in the shop every day, first I got my 2.7 tore down.
Then I finally finished installing the new rings on my tractor, got it back together and out of my shop (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) moved the blue car into the space the tractor was using. Then cleaned up the rest of the shop, ready for the next project.....rebuilding carbs so I can get my -6 back on the road. |

thanks to TWEET I have new door locks, rekeyed and an valet key as well, pulled the door panels and installed the new handles and locks, also adjusted window height,. a few years ago I bought the internal mechanism, old ones were very gummed up with old grease. now the handle easily moves the door lock mechanism very smoothly -what a difference . Have not been able to lock the drivers door since owning the car!

It'd be a kick in the pants, but it's just another pipe-dream right now. I already have too many projects to complete (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) We have to go out to San Bernardino for a picnic on Saturday and was hoping to take the 'BB', but just heard that we need to take a couple of card-tables and some other crap that won't fit in the car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) |

Fixed the horn thanks to Mark (mepstein) giving me the base plate and wiring. Now I don't have to yell "Go!" at the soccer mom in the Minivan or Escalade in front of me that doesn't seem to notice the light turned green. A short honk should be sufficient to politely communicate my desire that they move forward in a leisurely fashion (or at least get the hell out of my way). Thank you, Mark!
