Yes the tire scuff marks on the side were up to the mirror. Glad she was in that vehicle!
I am going to try a different fresh air control over tried two blowers each bench tested as fine. It could be shorting out in that slider. Just need to source a different slider thing(controller) |

Pulled my 73 out of winter quarters and it started right up.
Down the road in Stamford the shift linkage totally disconnected and the stick was completely loose, no connection to anything. Totally floppy. AAA with the extra mileage charge brought it back to Bridgeport. Goodbye $102. Not the best sign of spring.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I'll bring out the '75 tomorrow. Moved a couple of motors over to the shop - one 616 and one T-4. Need to move two more tomorrow - another 616 and a 901.
Also, modified a Matchbox 914 into a real targa-top (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Look, it came from the factory with DynaMat on the floor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

Today I glued down some loose corners on the black fabric between the sails. I also replaced the inside passenger door handle. Nothing special.
Oh, and I also give it a bath, which was sorely needed. |

Well now that's the $64M dollar question isn't? I'm hoping to get north of $40k. I paid north of that yet but this is that car that I made an emotional vs rational decision on. It's fully documented, original owner until 2002. Motor and trans never out of the car. Interior 100% original, paint 90% original. NO rust ever. Has very good documentation. I love looking at it…just not as much as a nice 912. : ) Oh and just for fun, I'm cleaning this one up now. '68 F100. all original. No rust ever. Original 360 motor…never been out of the truck. Original paint. 45k original miles…documented mileage and protect plate. Love this truck! This one is going to be hard to sell I'm a sucker for survivors. |

Hoisted Dianne's 1.7L onto a stand, drained the oil and started disassembly. Sprayed all the rusty hardware with PB-Blaster so stuff will come apart more easily.
I might be riding to Cook's Corner for breakfast in the morning, so I'll resume motor tear down depending on how I feel after the ride (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biker.gif) |

Installed my motor. My first install of a 914 engine, I am glad I have a lift.
