Swapped the worn out 75 steering column for a 72-74 version that there is parts available. Installed new upper and lower bearings to eliminate the good old up down motion.

Took my car to Cars & Coffee in Tustin with my Daughter. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Took her picture with Patrck Long. Congratulated him on his Lemans win!! Made my day!!

cool...did your daughter know who he was? I wouldn't have a clue myself....what did he drive to the event?

I recognized him and then quickly googled the name to be sure.
He drove a highly modified 964. He said it drives like the CUP cars. I am guessing that helps him prepare for future races.

That looks like a BBI Autosports built car, saw it over at the Luftgekült show at the Bandito Bros. that Patrick put on.
Here's an older pic of it (same car ?) in the mag, rolling without the Magnus wheels.

I installed Spokes rear LED lights. I don't know why I waited so long. It was super easy to install. I also bought a set of LED backup lights at Walmart. Work great!! I also installed a puke bottle for my oil tank in the trunk.

Mike,

I wonder if this electric pump would continue to cool the Audi motor if the factory water pump impellers failed.

I'm not running the factory pump. Well it's there but no belt to spin it. The electric pump works great!

I would have thought if the pump wasn't running it would restrict the water flow to the point of overheating but I guess you've proved that wrong! I wonder if the impeller is spinning like mad from the pressure of the electric pump?! If you gutted the pump, would it cool too much? Using the Subie engine, my water pump is driven by the timing belt so even with the electric pump I've got a type of flow regulator and a back up to boot. Good to hear you've got all the flow you need!

Had a few errands to do with the Mrs. today and since there weren't any large items on the list, I asked "car or truck?" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

She said "Yeah, I guess we could take the car", but then she said "Oh, the truck needs gas" ...

Peeled-off the last remaining window-tint film from the driver's side triangle window and passenger's side window. The adhesive that remained was a pita to get off, but finally dissolved it with a good dose of lacquer thinner, and now I have nice clear windows all around (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Drove it to have dinner with some old friends - and I do mean OLD ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Had some red bumpers, valences and rockers off a parts car, so I made my 2.0 into an LE. *
