I took a 914 work break when I had a request from a member of "Street Outlaws" for another car they are building. It's for a Grand Marquis , similar to the Crown Vic. Special set of fakey Zoomie exhaust headers that will stick out of the hood.
45 minutes to build the zoomies...then back to work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) Anything goes on TV (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) |

I looked at my 914 from across the street thinking whether or not I should put more magnets on the car cover due to the higher wind gusts today....

If you place enough magnets in the right places, you don't need jack stands (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

A few days ago, southbound on I5 just past Weed, CA (motto: I Love Weed!) my car starts to get buffeted by a semi I was passing. Then it started to slow down big time, losing speed and rpm's. After a few hundred yards (seconds at hwy speed) I pull over to have a look. Tire blowout but I did not hear or feel anything, even with the top off. Maybe the earbuds with Bob's "Punky Reggae Party" was too loud.
Yes, tilting the car on it's side made the tire change quicker. |

That's actually a strategically disguised "Bong" that removes with the twist of the wrist. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) |

I've only ever had one, and it sounded like a shotgun going off in my left ear (of course it was the L/F on the Vanagon with the window down) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blowup.gif) BTW, nice looking car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ... this is my wife's '71 |

Did you buy this after getting a Payday Loan in the office behind you in this picture? I imagine they have some real easy terms for that loan! Ha ha ha! |

Funny! No for some reason the seller requested cash (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I requested 12 easy payments of 91.4$ but I've heard you miss one payment and they take you out at the knoeesthe |

After McMark suggested I install zerk grease fittings today at the BBQ, I decided to bite the bullet and install them. Seems to have cured my hard bushing groan/squeak. Really the car was transformed...rides so much better...like I installed softer springs.
Don't know why I didn't do this earlier. Super easy |
