Found out why my 1.8 was stalling at idle: a disconnected vacuum hose! Bought a new one at my FLAPS and voila! I am once again on the road.

Anyone else sell a precut vacuum hose kit besides AA?

Washed the road grime off after 1000+ miles from Colorado to Ocean Beach CA. First long road trip in the -6 in more than 20 years. Need to get some pics out on Point Loma to confirm knocking off the first of the post-refurbishment "drive it to the four corners of the continental U.S." bucket list.
Lots of blue highway on the way out, including Bryce Canyon and Zion, Lake Mead National Recreation Area and along to Colorado River from Vegas to Blythe, then south to the 8. But sad to see only two other Porsches on the road during two 500-mile days, a late model Turbo on the 15 west of Mesquite and a Cayman just after pulling off the interstate to head toward Lake Mead. And only one other late model curbside in OB. Guess the marque is more garage art these days.
What would Ferry say?

Holy fuch, I thought we drove trucks in Montana... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Your car looks great, Clint (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif) That guy wouldn't even spill his coffee running over one of our cars... is that really legal to have on the road?

Jaime, when is Jay going to showcase your 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

I think I bought another motor today, but not for a 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hide.gif)

I may have a '69 911T motor for sale shortly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

Went to the DMV today. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
Waited 2 hours for my number to be called. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)
Filled out the forms and gave them money. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pain30.gif)

Now I am legal to drive for another year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
