Started in on the sheet metal work for a new mono-wiper on the 8gtt. It will look + function like the late model 991 track car wipers. Too cool, Marty (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)Not necessarily relating to 914s , I went to Sears to exchange a pair of shoes my wife bought me, and came home with another [inexpensive] roll-away cabinet / chest drawer combo that was on sale (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Been wanting to segregate the specialized 'P' tools from the regular tools for a while ... this should do the trick. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pat.gif) caught a bit of rain on the way home from taking my youngest to build-n-grow at Lowe's. - adjusted clutch cable yesterday,
- dash lights keep shorting out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) this time did not short the fuse, i think its shorting out in the light switch . so i might try and source a new one and see if that will remedy the issue. |

Took it out for a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) to Harbor Freight to buy a rope saw. They said they don't carry them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
Beautiful day. Car runs real nice but reading these threads about Subaru transplants is so intriguing... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) Ugh. Must. Avert. Eyes... |

pulled my spark plugs to check state of tune and learned that two of the plugs were not tight. tightened every one of them and went for a sweet 90 minute cruise.

Ted (porsche913b_sp) and I caravan-ed to the BS Swap Meet from the South Bay. Thanks for hosting this again Bruce. Met a couple new folks as well as mingling the usual suspects - got to BS with G & R as well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) ... Nice to see everybody's doing well. I think this is the first time Elliot didn't show up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
Sold very little (as usual) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ... and everything that didn't sell will probably stay in the back of the truck until next BS-SM (again) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Colin came by the shop later in the afternoon and picked up the 2.7L motor he purchased a couple of months ago (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif) (would that be considered a colin-cleansing?) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) It was cooking in the shop ... had to employ the air conditioner. Worked well enough that I stuck around for several more hours to sort, package, label, and stage a ton of parts in prep for the impending move. |
