ya mark, your all over the place with your jetting. it will make perfect sence when you get your meter. you will be able to SEE what it needs, and when it needs it. right now your just guessing. what kind of distributor are you using. i would tell you my jetting. but you would never believe me..... and i'm getting 40mpg-solid! Do you have a meter? Mark and I are both in the southbay. Maybe we could ply you with food and drink for a tuning session??? Mark - you in? yes, i have an in car and portable meter, but unfortunately i am way south. between san berdo, and palm springs. south bay? as in san fransico bay? like san jose area? |

Since my new muffler setup exits on the wrong side of the car for the stock valance, I had a rather large gaping whole on the driver side of the valance that was very unpleasing to the eye. so, I decided to weld it up. And while the bumper and valance were off the car, I went ahead and cleaned up underneath everything.

I received the 6-fuse kit from Tom, and Engman's fuse box, but they're sitting at home and I'm on vacation here in Havasu (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
I did find the time to install the dual outlet valance this morning, but no time to take any pix (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) EDIT 3/27/12: Here's a pic from Havasu (the valance did tidy up the back end a bit) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Interesting jetting configuration, Doug. Joe Sharp brought a LM-1 and some fitting adapters here, hoping to take a peek at the A/F readings sometime tomorrow (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I thinking of purchasing a similar unit myself (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Zinc plating came out nice, Matt (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) ... something else I'd like to learn to do too - have a lot of little parts that need plated |

Well, figured I'd show the completed valance all painted and installed on the car. Oh, and installed a new radio face plate on the dash. Now the basket weave finally looks continuous.

Installed my new Engman fuse panel, new plugs, Oil change, new Magnecor wires, couple of new front signal bulbs, 5 gals of 94 Octane gas and tried to start the beast after over a year.
No go on the first battery charge, checked the new fuel lines under the tank.....Kinked...fixed. Tried again....still no joy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) Then I heard the gas tank gurgling...good news= Air out, gas in!!!! Tried again and she started up, lumped along for a few seconds and died. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) Charging battery again for a final attempt for the day.(IMG:style_emoticons/default/zorro.gif) |

Fired her Up, which took some time. Swapped in a temporary engine lid with a rain tray. Storm coming.

Put door end caps on my teener. Got them from Mark at 914rubber. Crawl under the teener to check for leaks. Went to gas station and got tank of 100% gas before it tops the $4 mark!
