Put some bling on my motor, prepped mirrors to about 90%. Final fit will need a seat and a pair of hands.
Prepped hood for pins. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yellowsleep[1].gif)

Making real good progress. Rory G. came over last week. He did the push rod tube seals, installed the exhaust, and we got it running after 9 months on jackstands! Put on the rear wheels today, along with tidying up the fuel lines and securing the pump. Will be on the road this comming week. Just have to install the front pan, and front wheels. Likely will pull the distributor at some point, to replace the points, condensor, and plugs.

New transaxle up and running. No surprises. The new mesh pattern looked good and apparently I put the LSD back together right. Notice that there is another set of jackstands in the picture?

Thanks, I'm back up in North Georgia on a temp. to perm. basis and if all works out I hope to get my 914 up here. I forgot how great these roads are! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) I'll PM you when and If I get it up here (and running again, broken clutch tube) and I'll use you as an excuse to cruise up to Clayton. Do you know or belong to any local air cooled clubs? How is your car doing?

I installed the tranny CV flange seals and the driveshaft seal up front. Had to dig out the chunks of the front seal by taking off the housing cover and fishing the bits out. Replaced the large O ring on the cover and mated tranny to the motor and now await some help from a buddy to reinstall the motor/tranny package into my 6 conversion project.

Finally upholstered my drivers seat back area that had a huge hole in it. Got the material from A and P and it took me about 2 hours or so to get it done and looks much better...I should have taken some before and after pictures. Interior of my car is really looking good now

Went for a 120 mile drive Through the twists with 7 early 911s and another 6 and had a blast. The teeners ran right up there with the hot rodded 911s and won many great comments at the lunch stop. Shifting problem solved thanks to this BB.

After almost two years of being on a rotisserie, the bottom is undercoated with Wurth and painted so I finally started putting parts back on my car this weekend. Now the work starts on the top.

Finally finished a project I've been meaning to do for ages. Hung the welder from a track on the ceiling. So tired of it being on the floor.

Now I can get back to cutting the rot out...
