Took my '71 out for its first drive of the year- ran great except my new LED front turn signals are possessed. One side blinks like it should but the opposite side blinks in the bottom 1/4 like a euro lense! Does it on both sides when signalling L or R. Gotta be confusing for oncoming traffic!! They aren't euro bulbs but the US ones that should always blink completely.
(calling Spoke!! I love the LED bulbs, but they can do some weird things with our 45 year old wiring!!) |

Might be a grounding issue (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
I had a strange experience when I reconnected the tail lights on a 911 incorrectly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) |

Looking for Brake Master Cyc information!
I thought I was so smart! My brake Master Cyl DOES say "14" on the part that can be seen from under the car. So, I bought a new "19" to to compliment the Big Black 911 brakes. Here's the new one clearly marked "19" at the red arrow on the part you cannot see when installed and no "19" is seen anywhere else on the main body: Surprise! I started to pull out the old "14" (see yellow arrow) and their is "19" (see red arrow) in the same location as the new one described above! HELP! Is the old one a 14 or 19 confused24.gif |

They never used a 14mm bore to my knowledge. 914s normally came with a 17mm, and the 19mm is the most popular replacement.

So do I have a "19" ??? Yes you bought one, remember.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I can't tell from here if the one on the car is or is not. The markings you are looking at are casting numbers which may or may not be linked to the actual size of the unit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) |

Finally addressed one of those annoying little problems. Even with the heat lever fully off, I was getting heat on the passenger side. The problem was the cable being a little too short. I planned on re-bending the cable in the tunnel, but didn't have much extra to give on the drivers side.
Decided to lengthen the mounting area of the passenger side with weld. I cut and bent a piece of copper pipe about the same diameter as the end, then hit it with the mig welder. I ended up with quite a blob on the end as the copper melted...but it cleaned up well and works as intended. |

Finally got the rear fiberglass bumper mounted with Dzus'. I would like to run black dzus but I am having trouble finding some.... Nice ! What are the Druz attached to ? Can the FG bumper be removed with the Druz ? I fabricated a bracket for each side. The front is using the bolt brackets that came with the bumper. I might do the same. |

The front was off ebay. It's pretty good, but a GT style one with the notch. Link below: http://www.ebay.com/itm/porsche-914-GT-fib...ICr&vxp=mtr I'm thinking of running one of these mini light bars within the notch. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12in-72W-LED-Work-...skh&vxp=mtr The rear I bought off someone, not sure where it's from. |

The big "19" on the item is apparently a 19 even though the smaller 14 cast mark on the body is there............hum. So, it will stay on the car. |
