Driving mine! Lunch break at Dion's Pizza. Kids (teens) came out to take pictures. One asked, "what year is your Porsche?" with correct pronunciation. There is hope for the youth of today!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Managed to get first coat of top coat on the underside of the new rear trunk floor section. Received the battery tray panels today. Hopefully I can that fit them tomorrow. Then it's the front wing sections!

Replaced the old cheap-ass ignition switch I put in a year and a half ago with a brand new cheap-ass ignition switch. I'll mark the calendar for when I'll probably be doing this job a third time...(IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
At least I can do it quickly now... |

Hey Cary! I looked at it briefly but didn't do a real detailed post-mortem. It appeared the whole assembly lost enough "structural integrity" that it just wasn't making contact when turned. You could sort of "sense" that it was going to go at some point, as you had to turn the key a certain way in the ignition to get it to work. Then yesterday afternoon as I was changing the oil just nothing. With the new switch in, it fired up nicely. About 2 months ago I put in a hot start relay. Maybe that will help prolong the life of this one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
