So stuck for a bit until i find out about rubber for windscreen.
Picked off the bitumen type floor covering where it was loose. A bit of surface rust but no holes. Very lucky on that point. removed the pedal assembly and master cylinder. |

Yesterday I built a motor dolly, plucked the 2.2L motor out of the car, removed the left side header, tin lifters and push rod tubes and head and will install a matching new head today if the parts arrive. All of this due to the fact that I blew a spark plug big TimeCert out of the head while cruising PCH a couple of days ago.....
and for fun, i cleaned a surface or two on my 3.0 project motor prior to teardown... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) .... Attached image(s) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) .... Your motor dolly looks nice (and your clean workbench and that -6!). Was it your own design? Would it work well for just pushing the trans around? My engine is on a stand right now, but the trans is taking up my atv jack. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) |

I replaced my rubber window seals and then leak checked them by (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) in the rain. The inside of my car remained dry. Thanks 914 Rubber!

After driving 1000 miles with no issue mechanically, averaged 29mpg, left it in CT with CFR for rust repair, pulled out the interior.- I agree about the being invisible thing, that's why I drove thru the night, less traffic to deal with, then back roads where the semis don't go so much.

Went to Diablo PCA breakfast with my girls, one 914 there.
Then went to Johns (JeeperJohn) house to pick up his seats to put new covers on them, that should happen in the next few weeks or sooner. |

Thanks. The car has had a respray, but it looks like 914 white. This car was black from the factory.

Last night drove down to Cardiff to meet some friends for a few beers. Got the last bottle available of Lost Abbey Veritas, a rare beer.
Today I replaced the vertical rubber seals along the front side of the sail panels. Hmmm... can't remember, what are those long rubber pieces for, with the notch? Attached image(s) |
