I received a brand new set of custom heads today from DRD Racing Heads in Santa Ana. About 5 weeks since I ordered them. Darren did a beautiful job on these L5 modified AMC heads. Just about ready to build this 2258cc engine. Can't wait to hear it run for the first time!

Confirmed that my new $110 fuel pressure regulator cant be adjusted high enough to get the fuel pressure to 3 bar. Dug around in the boxes of parts from the spare 1.7 engine I bought last year and found an old one, sure enough, no problem adjusting it to maintain 3 bar.

I removed all the cold start stuff except the CSV and the throttle dampner... car runs great without it, just use the hand throttle until it warms up..

I still have some priority irons in the fire, but my wife was concerned about coyotes being able to jump over the rear driveway fence (due to a large wooden storage cabinet sitting back there), so we relocated it along with some other items and ended up with an additional 6 feet of usable space behind the 'BB' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Now I can re-position the car, allowing me to get some jack stands under it with some wiggle-room on both sides of the car. I need to remove most of the interior upholstery to get into the tunnel area, to see why the damn clutch cable doesn't want to come out. With the cable out, I will be able to proceed with the hydraulic clutch release system installation (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

I need to take my left rear (ATS) wheel somewhere to get it straightened too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ... anybody have a good recommendation for a wheel guy in So Cal ? (I think Al Reed would take too long) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

That's just too cool, Michael ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

I re-positioned the 'BB' and removed the L/R tire this morning. Going to run it up to 'Affordable Wheel Repair' [in a not-so-great neighborhood in LA]. Manny told me the cost to straighten a wheel would be anywhere from $40. to $75., depending on how much work it will need.

They're in the same neighborhood as 'The Bumper Shop' where we had a re-chroming group buy several years ago. I might stop by there on the way back to see how they feel about another group buy arrangement (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

If any of youse guys are interested, let me know ... I'll see what kind of deal they can offer us (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

After seeing Andy mention front turn signal lenses a couple of times I decided to check mine and sure enough they were upside down.

So I flipped them.

All set now Andy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

Thank you!

Also recalibrated my tach for the six....... Gained 30% more power!
