What kind of steering wheel is that? Looks fantastic (so does the car).

I installed a new AEM fuel pump in the 944 style. Flows more than a Bosch and is slightly quieter than my old pump... Then (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Runs great! Hey Mike why not go with a walbro I here great reviews about those pumps. Looks good braided lines too expensive for me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) |

Actually a 3 "ish" day project.
Removed all the gauges: Painted the instrument dash. Took the gauges apart and cleaned, painted bezels. Cleaned up the faces and replaced all the bulbs. Before After |

Looks great (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif) I replaced the plastic bezel on my 75 with a freshly-painted early metal one last year, Made a big difference - and spruced-up the interior quite nicely (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool_shades.gif) |

The attempts I have made now require the face to be replaced... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Thanks |

^^^ for the faces I used cotton balls and Q tips. distilled water only. For some reason the silver dots had a sticky film on them , I used rubbing alcohol on them
I may have been lucky. The metal and bezels were really bad . Lots of wire brush and sanding, I couldn't get them perfect so I actually used some texture paint, then painted them. |

replaced my OEM wheel with a Momo Prototipo. I just can't drive a 914 with the large stock wheel very well. I started by removing the center console to get more leg/foot room, but I just needed more room...

I just drove mine around for an hour or so, doing a high-heat shakedown to make myself feel more confident with the newish tuning profile. So I just stuck around Albuquerque, did a loop around it, nothing really fun as far as the roads go, but I had fun on the local interstates a couple times, and a respectful nod from a young guy on a hot motorcycle. Too bad the one fun spot at a roundabout had me stuck behind a couple panic buttons that each took it down to 15mph to negotiate it (and it's a 2-lane roundabout! Argh!) No pics of the car, I was solo, but here's the aftermath ... 100F heat led to some serious 4-point harness sweat lines. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Car did great but I'm at least a quart low on water.

Worked on making a gt lid kind of fun. Considering pop riveting or welding. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif)
