I spent the day troubleshooting a start stall,start stall problem. I double checked everything from cut to fuel line configuration. Finally when I grabbed an old volvo MPS and plugged it in. Found it!
Freaking MPS.......the thing ran perfectly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) Now on the hunt for a good 043 MPS UPDATE: I bought a box of MPS's from a local guy.......Mostly 037's and 049's but low and behold there was a 043 in the box. Plugged it in and she purrrrrrrrrrrrrs. I better accumulate a few more for the next failure. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) SW |

Haven't driven the 'BB' for a few weeks now (since Rt-66). Need to install a new 'O' ring on the dizzy, and adjust the valves ... then start thinking about tearing into the front suspension rebuild (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)
Joe, the next time I'm down your way, I'll bring a pencil soldering iron to repair the power connector on the LM-1 ... or, bring it to the G&R (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) |

Installed my new 1911 on Easter. Now I'm trying to fire her up! No fuel problem. the last step to getting her back on the road.
Pulled the engine on New Years and rebuilt it and installed on Easter...not to bad for having a full time job and going to school.   |

It was sooo damn nice today I gave my teener the once over. Changed the oil, detailed the interior, cleaned all the glass and dry washed the exterior. Then fiddled with an issue ive been having with my gas gauge blowing fuses and freaking out. Cheacked all the wiring/connectors. Tried a different gauge, same issue. Then pulled the sender, turned it upside down and didnt hear any movement from the mecanisim inside. Got a wd40 nozzle into one of the vent holes and gave a few quick shots of carb cleaner in it and the slider worked free. Installed it back in the tank and the gauge works again. Hopefully that's all it needed.

I have been waiting for about a year to put a Doc Evil Rebuilt Transaxle into my Sixer. Finally got warm last week and pulled everything off including the brakes, axles, transaxle, etc (replacing with 911 items along with Doc's transaxle).
You know Arizona is always warm since it is mostly desert??? Wrong!!! Got everything removed and then an April Snow Storm hit Flagstaff and lasted a couple of days giving us about 6-8 inches. Started warming up again to the high 50's and most of the snow at the 7,000 level is gone. This week looks like it will be in the 60's and I can get out to the garage to complete my change over. |

Replaced my points, Stalled a bit as I was driving yesterday. i checked my dwell, It was way off from what they were set to a few days ago.
As I tried to reset, by the time I do timing, it was off again. Replaced them and ran great. I installed my radio, door handles window roller, trunk lock and fuel gauge, then took it for a long 60 Miles round trip drive. Did I mention top-off? I am pretty much done with my resto.   |

Got my engine on test stand down on the wheels. Put the accessory belt, temp exhaust and O2 sensors, and began wiring things up. Also started to mockup the radiator mounting brackets.
Can't wait to here this thing run.  |
