Installed new fuel pump and filter. Adjusted clutch. Adjusted front wheel bearings. (Destroyed a lug nut) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif) Cleaned up wheels. Changed engine oil. Will change trans. oil tomorrow after I get a pump to lift it into the trans. The RRC will be 2000miles round trip. Probably change the oil again when I get back. You were a busy beaver, dude.
I received the sound deadening material, but it was 90° in the shade here today, so I'll have to wait until it cools off before dicking around inside the car ... maybe I'll get the driver's side floor done this evening - maybe not (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) |

We're setting all kinds of records for heat. Gonna be 106 tomorrow. The good news it will be 60 degrees tonight. If it didn't cool off at night here, we wouldn't have moved here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Also, there is a large A/C duct that comes into the garage. It goes up to the living room. I used a large hole saw and cut some vents in it. I now have a climate controlled garage. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) It was 105 today and I worked in the garage all day. The lift is in the rear driveway and exposed to full sun most of the day, so the combination makes working on the interior a little ... let's say, uncomfortable (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)This is a pic from earlier in the year (poor thing, hasn't had much love in the past two years) ... Some day, I'll have to clear out enough space in the garage to accommodate at least one car. It stays fairly cool in comparison to the rear driveway. Good idea on the A/C ducting. I did something similar in our house and the results were rewarding (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Looks like it's supposed to cool down by the end of the week ... just have to play it by ear. Maybe I'll get a reprieve one of these years, so I can make it out to the RRC ... that's our anniversary w/e (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Back on your head (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) |

Strapped on a new Dansk 2 in 1 out on the 6. Hopefully my ears will no longer ring. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif) Did the same a few years ago, replacing a Triad. The Dansk just sounds 'right'. |

The 914 provided us with transportation during the Vintage Car Road Races at PIB this past weekend. What a blast !!! Had to use a ferry to get the car from the mainland out to the island of South Bass. I worked the event in the Paddock area. Pic shows her parked at days end behind our "Hotel" - the vessel Sea Dawg. That's my wife sitting on the boat. We'll be back next year and will add the running of the old course thru the streets of Put In Bay. |

Took mine to the shop this afternoon after two weeks of messing with it myself. Turns out the VR was running at 17v and fried my new odyssey battery and my Mallory ignition box. Luckily I have spares for all that on hand and should be good to go for RRC next week.

Finally made it up to the Red Rooster in my 74 Ravenna car and snapped a twin pic to the one I took with the '73. As much as I love the 74, I do miss that yellow car.
