I live about 25 miles from this year's Okteenerfest. Drove the teener in the area this morning on a fall like day. Can't wait to see all the teeners in North Georgia!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Could not replicate the hot start issue. It was 80 degrees and not 95 so that helped. |

Not my 914 but still Porsche related. New Euromeister 7/17 and 9/17 wheels with 205/50/17 and 255/45/50 BFGoodrich G-Force Sports. I'll be selling the BBS's. Both sets look nice, but your car could do with ... fewer 'spokes' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Old BBS: New Euromeisters: |

I replaced my rain tray drain tubes and funnels I had sitting around. Small step but it was something.

Replaced a broken clutch cable. Glad it broke while near home (well, 20 miles "near") and not somewhere in the north Georgia mountains during Okteenerfest (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I put in new H4 lights for RHD and amber tail lights to get my import registered here in Australia. Next step is a RHS door mirror and metric speedo.

Drove the '73... hadn't been driven for over a month as I was in IA exercising its brother the '71.
Ran great - every time I drive a 914 I get reminded what fun they are, even after 46+ years!! Who needs self-driving cars!!!! |

I drove my car around trying to work the bugs out. I have carb issues, but it idles perfectly. I'm pouring over Weber carb information. It will be nice to figure out the tachometer too.
I need help, but I don't know who to ask. |

Went to start car and the battery (10 years old) was dead. Not unexpected.
Replaced muffler gaskets after mounting new Dansk. |

I need help, but I don't know who to ask. Did you verify that the jets, venturies and emulsion tubes are correct for your size engine? How is the tach connected to your ignition system? Is it a 4 banger tach going through a tach adapter? have you called Clewett? I think it was a Clewett system. I took the easy way out and went all stock. Even with the Weber's I used the stock cd ignition system. Your very brave!! |

New Euromeister 7/17 and 9/17 wheels with 205/50/17 and 255/45/50 BFGoodrich G-Force Sports. New Euromeisters: I like the look of black center Fuchs Thought about the Euromeister 17's for my car but went with the 16 Fuchs. Looks Great (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) |

I fitted the RHS mirror without any drama - was a bit scary though drilling in from the outside but the first pilot hole was only 0.5mm out so all good. Certainly saved stuffing around removing interior door trim (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Next step for Oz rego is a metric speedo.
