Just put the 'BB' up on jack stands again, the rear main seal is leaking a little. Richard's prepping to pull the trans here. Also, readjust the valve clearances since it's had a 600 mile burn-in (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I'd like to start in on the front suspension rebuild and install the sway bar, but since the car hasn't been on the road since 2007, and the weather is getting nice, I'm thinking about just replacing the ball joints and tie rods now, and do the remaining tasks later in the year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Worked on my starter relay/push bump mod for the relay panel. Have it all mocked up on my spare realy board and tested out OK. Now to remove it and put it on the car! Maybe tomorrow.

Took off the wheel axle and CV joints to replace a torn boot. First time to ever do any of that - so it was a great learning experience!

I resprayed the hood this morning. Went over to help Jeffs9146 reinstall his 3.0. Got a call from my wife to inform me that a bird took a crap on the hood I had sitting in the sun to dry. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Sorry to hear someones work being disregarded in such a fashion.
I remember somebody telling me that when a bird poops on your car that it is a sign of good luck.

WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP!
(pun intended.)

Hopefully it cured long enough prior to impact that you won't have to do a complete respray. Good luck.

Finally got to put my newly rebuilt transmission in! Rebut last week at scotty b's.
of course there was more to do!
- new shift bushings installed,
-cleaned and repainted the shift rod
-installed new 911sport transmission mounts!
-reattached the c.v's, new gaskets, grease etc.
-installed the repainted triad muffler.
-adjusted the shift alignment, clutch etc.

And enjoyed the fruit of my labor!, took my youngest on a daddy-daughter ride to the beach

Also- amazing the difference in shifting now! And a big "thanks" to Mike aka Dr. Evil.
I made the change in gears b doing the X gear for 4th and the flipped H gear for 5th.
I think I will be loving it!

New fuse panel, dual CHT gauge, oil change and valve adjustment. Have a CHT pickup under #1 & #3. It was 105F today in Phoenix and on the freeway #1 was 330F and #3 was 390F. I would not have guessed there would be that much difference between 1 & 3 temps.

What started as a simple CV replacement has manifested itself to this. Yep, I pulled the drive shafts last week from Blackie after reading McM's post about sliding the shaft and listening to the clunking noise. I ordered Eric's S's type I refits and they take a few weeks. Then I see Otto's ad for the rear trunk panels (which Blackie needed) so here I am. Once again, my ego and lack of common sense have convinced me that this is something I can do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)

I pissed of my neighbor lady tuning my car in front of her house. I parked there on purpose.

She screamed "I can't hear my TV".
Fuch you lady was what I was thinking. I said sorry and turned if off.

CONTEXT: This lady has called the Police and the City inspection dept. on me several times. She keeps telling them I'm running an auto repair business out of my garage. They come out and check my registration and leave. No repair business here.

Today pops and I finally got the charging system sorted. Had to replace the alternator, and swap out the (G) bulb housing. Now she makes 14 volts goin down the road!

Picked up a new Tach at EASY. STripped it down, cleaned it up, some black paint and now I'm on the road.

And My brand new Bosch fuel sender fell apart in it's housing.... Thanks Bosch. Luckily I saved my old one, and low and behold, it works again!
